Surprise Millenium Park Chicago Couples Session

We all met a few hours before the sun set at Millennium Park for Elexys' grad photo session - Elexys, her girlfriend Skye, and her best friend Nakeyta. Elexys had planned out to keep everyone under the impression that the session was just for her senior pictures, so when she looked over at Skye after we'd gone through most of her outfits and asked her to join her in front of the camera, Skye looked so surprised! Sweet, sneaky Elexys wanted some couples portraits of the two together, and wanted to give her a tender surprise to remember at this new juncture of their life together.

A little shyly Skye came over and got in frame, and nervously asked what she should do - without missing a beat, Elexys nuzzled up to her and made her feel comfortable with giggles and shared jokes. Even though she hadn't expected to be the one in front of the camera, Skye was such a good sport about the situation and made the best of it! After just a few minutes of encouragement and goofiness and some VERY silly faces -which I've left out of this little gallery and only put in the personal one, y'all are welcome by the way ;) - the two got into the swing of things and ended up with some gorgeous portraits together!

Surrounded by blooming flowers in the Lurie Garden, Elexys and her loved ones got to commemorate an incredibly exciting time in their lives, and I'm so happy and thankful I was there to witness it! <3 you all!
