Where to Take Senior Portraits in Chicago

It's getting to be that time of year again for seniors throughout Chicago need to start looking for where to get their portraits taken! Though Chicago doesn't seem to realize it's spring already (I mean, come on, it's freezing), it'll be warm before we know it, so it's time to start thinking about locations, girl! Here's a few of my favorite spots to give you some ideas of where you could shoot for your senior portraits. :)

Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park is by far one of my absolute favorite places to take senior portraits in Chicago! There are so many areas that are amazing to shoot in, like Lincoln Park Zoo, the nature walk by the museum, the parks around the zoo, and along Lake Michigan. I've shot there a few times for senior portraits, and I've also done a few of my creative shoots with girls there!

Wicker Park

Wicker Park is such a great option for senior portraits because it has both unique architecture and natural landscapes all mixed into one! For the two shoots shown below, my girls and I walked around on the 606 trail and through the neighborhood in search of nature, and it wasn't hard to find at all if you know what you're looking for! ;) And after your shoot you can go check out Dimo's - my favorite pizza place in the city!

Navy Pier

Navy Pier is one of the best options for senior portraits in the winter, and it might even be the best! The atrium on the second floor by the children's museum is always warm and overflowing with gorgeous green plants to photograph in. And the best part is that there's usually not many people hanging out during the day, so if you go during your winter break you can get all model-esque and in your zone without having people stare!

Millenium Park

Centrally located and easy to get to, Millennium Park is gorgeous down to each nook and cranny. This senior portrait is from the walkway above the park leading to the Art Institute, but there are multiple spots throughout the park that are good, like the Lurie Garden, Maggie Daley Park, in the gardens next to the Art Institute, and it just keeps going! You'll have to wander around because there are almost too many sweet spots to mention them all!

I hope that you found this little collection helpful, and don't forget - there are so many amazing locations in Chicago that you can choose from for your senior portraits, so no matter where you choose you can't go wrong!
